     We crafted RARE BLENDS and our new RARE PLATINUM releases the way our grandfather taught us – well balanced, food friendly wines to enjoy every day with family, friends and meals.  Since 1883, this has been our family’s style and it comes through with every glass of RARE.
 
     “People may not realize it, but most wines are blends.  Even if one varietal is named on the label, odds are that other varietals are included to enhance the aromas, flavors and complexity.  RARE PLATINUM Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example, with a Cabernet backbone and Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot included in the cuvée,” Paul notes.

     “Our fastest growing new release is the Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon.  A portion of the wine was aged in bourbon barrels for three months with the rest in a combination of French and American oak barrels.  The result is a medium-full bodied wine with intriguing bourbon aromas and flavors that complement the Cabernet’s dark fruit.  Give it a try when you’re ready for something a little different.  I usually serve it at the end of a meal.”
